With marketers currently strategising for the holiday season later this year, they must leverage the Google Search deals carousel. The carousel, however, is currently only available in the US and operational for limited sales events.
Google recommends that marketers create a dedicated deals page for each promotional event. The events don’t need to be limited to just Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The page title must include a clear description of the event. To help Google index the deal pages being created, ensure creating them early on.
Using high quality images within an aspect ratio range of 4:3 to 3:4 is recommended. Further, any new sale pages must be linked back to the brand’s homepage. Google also suggests retaining and reusing the deal page’s URL each year, and following standard SEO best practices.
