The Idea Pins tagging tool launched in the UK and the US, will be available in other markets soon.
Following up on its Creator Code, Pinterest has now monetised Idea Pins allowing users to shop directly from their favourite creators’ Pins. Creators can now earn commissions through affiliate links through programmes like Rakuten and collaborate with brands with Shoppable Idea Pins.
Moreover, creators with existing brand contracts can tag their Idea Pins with a paid partnership label. Creators can tag their Idea Pins with millions of Product Pins. 89% of Pinners indicate shopping intent on labelled products in Idea Pins, as per Pinterest.
Select creators in the US and the UK and other countries can now use Shoppable Idea Pins. Aya Kanai, Pinterest head of content and creator partnerships, says, “We’re empowering creators to reach millions of shoppers on the platform and monetise their work.”
