The video-sharing app has named Publicis Groupe as its maiden commerce agency partner.
Owing to the partnership, Publicis clients will get special access to products and capabilities, helping them stand out on TikTok. For instance, brands working with the agency can participate in a multi-week long incubator program called “Community Commerce Spirit.”
Dedicated teams from TikTok will assist the incubation participants with cross-functional support and best practices to gain traction on the app. ByteDance-owned TikTok, on the other hand, will use the collaboration with Publicis to promote their “Community Commerce” concept. TikTok aims to place creators in between product discovery and product purchases.
The partnership with Publicis Groupe is the latest effort from TikTok to strengthen ties with the agency world. Earlier in February this year, TikTok inked a partnership with WPP that granted the latter early access to TikTok’s latest advertising offerings.
