According to a recent study by eBay Ads UK, 30% of Britons plan to spend more on Christmas this year.
UK consumers are more optimistic about the return of traditional Christmas, which may lead them to start spending sooner rather than later this holiday season. 60% believe they feel more hopeful this year and 49% intend to do what they normally do.
Also, 41% say they will finish their Christmas shopping before December begins. While only 15% of Britons expect to spend less this Christmas, 45% are likely to leave holiday preparations to the last minute.
However, 25% of Britons plan on researching gifts before August ends. 30% are concerned about disruptions impacting Christmas celebrations. Harmony Murphy, GM Advertising UK at eBay states, “Brands need to start engaging with customers early on to ensure they are front-of-mind when it’s time to purchase.”
