Two new programs have been introduced to make it easier for third-party sellers to sell returned or unsold inventory.
Amazon has announced new initiatives to prevent overstocked and returned items from ending up in the trash. Third-party sellers in the UK can now sell returned products and unsold inventory as “used”, through Amazon’s “Grade and Resell” program.
The initiative will rate products with terms like, “Like New”, “Very Good”, “Good” or “Acceptable” to help sellers identify and price returned products. The program will go live in the US later this year and be available for other countries like Germany, France, Italy, and Spain by early next year.
Sellers can also sell overstocked and returned products to wholesalers via Amazon. This option is already available for sellers in the US, Germany, France, and others. The UK will get the option later this month.
