Marketers reprioritised KPIs to focus more on engagement and referral rates

Salesforce's poll of over 8,200 marketers globally revealed that customer data sources could go up by 75% between 2020 and 2022.

With companies embracing new strategies in the new normal, 90% of marketers say COVID-19 has enhanced their engagement strategy. So, 66% of marketers are anticipating revenue increase in the next 12 to 18 months.

The pandemic also saw 78% marketers shifting focus to customer referral rates, acquisition expenses, and content engagement after modifying and reprioritising KPIs. Armed with a definitive AI strategy, 61% of teams, in preparation of a cookieless world, are rethinking the data to be used to target consumers.  

However, only 27% of marketers have access to data science guidance, and 21% receive resiliency training. 82% of marketing companies have crafted new remote work policies and 44% of marketers anticipate working from an office full-time post-pandemic.
