Facebook’s latest rollout helps businesses create content for new campaigns

The social media giant is looking to get more small businesses to advertise on the platform.

Called Facebook Campaign Ideas Generator, the free new tool helps brands create professional-looking images for their social media campaigns. The feature is aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises develop campaigns using premade assets.

Before using the feature, brands need to select their business category. Brands can choose images across categories like “Ask a Question” and “Announce Sales and Offers.” Facebook then offers a wide range of promotion themes to choose from, such as holidays to different seasons of the year.  Based on the first two selections, Ideas Generator will then display campaign ideas along with a list of captions to go with the image or copy.

Facebook also enables businesses to customise their content based on data, using filters such as region, demographics, platforms and industries.  The last tab in Ideas Generator offers resources on how to create high-performing campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.
