COVID-19 has not changed how brands perform SEO activities: Twitter Poll

J Turnbull – a marketing consultant – conducted a poll on Twitter asking SEO professionals if the pandemic has changed their SEO practices.

The Twitter poll found that 52.5% of SEO professionals said COVID-19 did not change how they approach SEO. Only 21.6% of respondents said the coronavirus pandemic had changed their SEO practices, while 22% said: “it depends”.

The article also states there were some new structured data changes around COVID-19, which might have applied to online businesses. Curbside, inventory changes and medical information, and many other changes in Google My Business were the changes that companies might have had to apply on the technical front because of COVID-19.
