Instagram launches a three week-long Live shopping event

The event is meant to help Instagram users experience casual and informal shopping on Live, and access exclusive product releases.

In a bid to accelerate and promote its live shopping feature, Instagram is holding a three-week event in September, called “10+ Days of Live Shopping.”  The shopping event features beauty, sports, lifestyle and fashion brands, like Aveda, Hologear, Peloton and Outdoor Voices respectively.

Selena Gomez’s brand, Rare Beauty, will also be a part of the event. Additionally, the live shopping series will see celebrities like Kacey Musgraves and Lil Yachty. Users can tune into the shopping events by visiting the “Live” destination, on Instagram’s Shop tab.

Customers can view conversations, performances and interact directly with celebrities, artists and creators. Instagram has partnered with World Wrestling Entertainment and LG Electronics in the recent past to host live shopping events and offer exclusive access to products.
