Global OHH revenue to surge to 6.6% in 2021: Study

According to PQ Media, digital out-of-home (OOH) CAGR account for 37.1% of the total OOH ad revenue share in the US by 2025.

Despite falling 13.3% to $51.6 billion in 2020, OOH media will recover quickly between 2021 and 2025, owing to digital technology and programmatic acceleration. The report expects the worldwide OOH ad revenue to grow by 6.6% in 2021 to over $55 billion in 2021.

Digital OOH ad revenue is expected to increase 8.9% in 2025, with a CAGR of $4.43 billion. In 2021, corporate and education digital place-based networks are expected to grow 19.4%, followed by healthcare (14.1%) and transit (13.7%).

China will exceed the US’s OOH revenue, with $10.84 billion, compared to $9.37 billion. PQ Media’s CEO, Patrick Quinn, states that OOH media and DOOH media “is poised for strong growth in the second half of 2021”.
