The initial response data for Twitter's new features has been less than overwhelming.

In recent months, Twitter accelerated the development of new features and tools to entice its popular users to use them and bolster its monetisation efforts. The company intends to maximise its potential by launching features such as Fleets, Twitter Blue, Supper Follows, Spaces, and others.

However, Twitter's new tools don't appear to be doing so well, given that the company folded Fleets in just a year after it was launched in November 2020. Low enthusiasm has also taken the steam out of other tools like Super follows, Twitter Blue, and Communities.

The micro-blogging site must improve its internal development process to build better tools. The author contends that at least some of Twitter's features must pay off, or the board members could remove CEO Jack Dorsey.
