According to a Vericast survey of more than 1,000 US adults, consumers today want to stream CTV not only at home but even during long-distance travel. 26% and 36% of the respondents have already streamed TV during flights and long-distance road trips, respectively.
The study reveals that consumers want to stream TV in self-driving vehicles. 50% of consumers say they would stream TV if not for device unavailability and connectivity issues. Consumers who stream TV while commuting to work are keen on personalised ads, restaurant and gas stations recommendations on their route.
About 78% of the surveyed consumers say they want ads to help them with restaurant recommendations while travelling to a new destination. Similarly, 70% of them wish ads to recommend hotels en route to their destinations.
