According to a VidMob study, video ads seem to be more effective in boosting brand sales than static ads.
The study analysed advertisements that generated over 3.2 billion impressions across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and Facebook Audience Network during the holiday season.
The report states that video ads have a 30% higher purchase rate when compared to static ads. Additionally, videos between one and five seconds in duration performed 167% higher when compared to videos of average length.
Marketers can also consider including text in the first frame of the video. Quick intro text videos saw three times sales lift as opposed to videos that presented text later.
