Most businesses plan to leverage email marketing to boost Black Friday sales

SavvySME evaluated promotional trends that small businesses were most likely to adopt leading up to Black Friday sales.

According to the study, only 2.80% of business owners will utilise social media to advertise for Black Friday sales, while 1.30% will employ influencer marketing. The most common way for firms to promote Black Friday sales is through email marketing.

Email marketing at 21.90% was the most searched Black Friday promotional strategy in the last 30 days, followed by advertising (16.20%) and search engine optimisation (14.10%). Around 10.10% of small businesses will use content marketing, and 3.00% of advertisers will leverage paid search.
