A survey by NCSolutions has revealed that 47% of American consumers enjoy holiday food advertising.

About 33% of those surveyed say holiday food advertising puts them in the right mood for the holiday season. The survey also says that 90% of the respondents plan to cook the same amount of food or more during the holidays as in previous years.

Last year, 73% of surveyed consumers said their overall Thanksgiving spend would remain the same or more than their 2019 spend. 83% of consumers plan to spend the same amount or more on holiday meals than last year. As far as consumer-packaged goods are concerned, traditional foods will once again mark prime spots on the Thanksgiving table.

On the other hand, just 66% of the respondents say turkey is their favourite food. Back in 2020, this number stood at 70%. Other holiday foods preferred this year include mashed potatoes (66%), gravy (61%) and stuffing/dressing (61%).
