Instagram has released a new predictive trends report for 2022 marketers could note to re-connect with younger people. To help brands and marketers better understand trends, the report examines a variety of movements across various categories.

The company evaluated Gen Z’s mindset to learn about trends across categories like music, fashion, beauty and more. In 2022, for example, 50% of teens and young people will experiment with “bold” fashion such as Dark Academia, Goblincore, and Nostalgic wear.

Also, in 2022, 23% of consumers intend to do more thrift shopping online using sites like Deppo. Instagram also released a series of video interviews with relevant influencers from a variety of genres.
