Among all marketing practices set to emerge as strong trends in 2022, leveraging technology to enhance CX for customers seems to be a priority for brands.

In the coming year, brands are expected to focus on making the best of Metaverse and exploring opportunities in virtual spaces. Similarly, marketers would increasingly rely on AI for content marketing, advanced analytics and automating data-based decisions.

While webinars, virtual conferences and other online events would continue to find a spot in marketing strategies, brands will also increase investments towards podcasts and audio content. Given the high ROI that short-form videos offer B2C marketers - second only to influencer marketing - marketers will focus energies on video content.

Influencer marketing is also expected to continue finding favour among brands, with 61% of marketers planning to incorporate influencer marketing in their strategies this year. Further, 2022 will see more brands taking a clear social responsibility stand and increased investment in podcast content.
