In the new “About your business” section, Google will ask advertisers questions about their Google ads and accounts.
According to an email sent to select advertisers, Google Ads will integrate its advertising identity and business operation verification programs into a single verification process in March. The Google Ads unified advertising verification process will be similar to the existing identity verification process.
The process requires companies to submit their legal business or individual names, as well as other supporting evidence, and the information will be featured in an ad disclosure. Failure to provide answers in the "About your business" section within 30 days will result in the account being suspended.
In addition, Google will provide an additional 30 days to complete the requested verifications. This will help Google determine if the company is a direct or indirect seller.
