Neos Network and Dark Fibre surveyed 247 medium-to-large UK companies, in addition to data, cloud and infrastructure service providers.
The report discovered that a lack of investment in core IT connectivity systems is hampering UK companies’ plans to scale digital transformation efforts. Only 20% of UK firms report being able to undertake digital transformation.
Covid-19 accelerated the digital transformation plans of 84% of enterprise organisations. Such an acceleration was experienced by 49% of respondents within a span of a year or more.
When over 20% of digital transformation budget was allocated to connectivity or networking, 81% of companies saw a ‘highly successful’ digital transformation success rate. Digital transformation is considered crucial to future strategy by 98% of respondents.
