Use of social media for ecommerce is gaining new ground

ListenFirst’s poll of brand marketing and analytics professionals revealed that 89.5% of the respondents use social media for brand awareness.

According to 55% of professionals, their brand's social media spending went up amid COVID-19, and 50.5% predict it to rise even more in 2022. However, only 14% of those polled said they can always link their social media activities to ROI.

In the survey, 31.5% of respondents stated “Yes” to knowing their brand performance as compared to competitors. Further, 45.5% said that already use social media for ecommerce. Marketing and brand teams received the most social media insights.

Also, 39.5% of those polled trust LinkedIn as a platform the most, followed by Instagram at 14%. Where 22% participants trust TikTok the least, Reddit is trusted the least by 12.5% of respondents.
