Creators are cautious and wish to gain greater knowledge about Web 3.0 topics

Creators could do well to identify which brands and assets in Web 3.0 are collectibles and demand-generators.

As of now, a significant portion of the creator community might be unsure or even wary about the metaverse and the NFT economy. In such a scenario, it might be incorrect to assume that a majority of publishers will be able to generate revenue in the NFT economy. However, both opportunities and uncertainty exist regarding Web 3.0 for creators.

The cost of experimenting with metaverse and NFTs is not significantly high. Even so, advertisers like L’Oréal BOLD Ventures are creating economies around fans and creators. According to a She Media survey of its publishers, 47% of respondents feel they should know more about Web 3.0 topics such as NFTs, cryptocurrencies and the metaverse.

Around 22% publishers reported being “very into it” and seem to be actively engaged in one or more platforms. Further, 14% of those polled already have created an NFT and 78% are considering the same.
