A study found that around 44% of all internet users in the US use a voice assistant.

Keeping up with search engine algorithm changes is the biggest challenge SEO marketers are looking to overcome this year, followed by ranking highly on SERPs and identifying keywords. One-way marketers can overcome these challenges is by optimising their site for mobile devices, and including commonly asked user questions in the site content.

Page headers also need to be tightened to offer users more context for different sections, enabling Google to understand the brand content more accurately. Similarly, brands should also note that headlines with a certain emotional sentiment enjoy higher click through rates than neutral titles.

While marketers can include power words like “unbelievable” or “crazy” in their titles to grab user attention, such words should be used sparingly to avoid sounding like click-baits. Optimising videos for search is also a key trend to note in 2022. Marketers can divide their videos into different sections, including closed captions and optimise video titles, tags and descriptions.
