Zappi polled US and UK consumers to learn about their perspectives on the metaverse.

As the metaverse is still in its early stages, 55% of respondents haven't grasped the concept yet, as per the report. Moreover, 85% of consumers don't desire interacting with their favourite companies or communities in the virtual world, while only 20% want to shop there.

Only 6% of customers are "extremely familiar" with the metaverse, although 69% of consumers have heard of it. Moreover, 50% of those polled believe the metaverse is irrelevant and another 44% find it unappealing.

Consumers (52%) do not see the metaverse as a platform for daily work or career development. However, 32% of customers are keen on playing games in the metaverse. Isolation from the real world and privacy concerns are among the major obstacles to the metaverse’s adoption.
