Consumers in countries like Indonesia, Singapore and Brazil spend more than five hours daily on their phones.
According to a new report, time spent on mobile app usage is as high as five hours a day in 13 international markets. Moreover, while users in Singapore spent 4.1 hours in apps in Q2 2020, they spent 5.7 hours in Q2 2022. Similarly, Australian users recorded a 40% increase in usage, from 3.6 hours in Q2 2020 to 4.9 hours in Q2 2022.
The report also names Instagram the most popular app globally by the number of downloads.TikTok leads in consumer spending for non-gaming apps, while Facebook is number one for monthly active users.
Apps like Indian ecommerce app Meesho and dating app Bumble have also made considerable gains in downloads and consumer spending, respectively.
