The article lists six tips marketers can follow to offer more effective CTA links and email buttons.
When adding call-to-action (CTA) text links and buttons in email messages, avoid using headlines that are visual hyperlinks. Such headlines may make the email look messy and unattractive to readers.
Instead, include a button to make the email visually appealing and encourage the desired action from customers. Using bulletproof buttons instead of image ones will ensure CTAs are not blurred even if the readers have their images blocked. Ideally, emails should carry a minimum of two CTA links – one at the start and one at the end.
To drive action, text links and buttons should clearly explain what the customer stands to gain upon clicking on them. Finally, avoid distracting readers with links that take their attention away from the main path of action.
