The feature – discovered in the back-end code – is yet to be confirmed for release.

The social media platform is toying with the concept of a ‘Story Boost’ feature to help its premium subscribers gain more visibility for their organic content. However, Snapchat has yet to give details about the new potential feature.

Story Boost would likely work by prioritising stories from subscribers among their pre-existing contacts. If it happens to be a public story, Snap Boost might expand the reach to more random or new accounts through other discovery features on the app.

Even though Snapchat is experimenting with this visibility feature, it is unknown when or if Story Boost will be made public. It will be interesting to see if other social platforms consider something similar for their respective subscription tools.
