The members-only feature is being alpha-tested on Meta’s VR platform - Horizon Worlds.
Meta’s members-only space will act as a middle-ground for creators, where users will be able to curate communities of up to 150 members and 25 concurrent visitors. Meta is projecting the feature as a space for things like book clubs, gaming groups, VIP creator supporters, or just a casual hangout.
However, the feature will not be available to users immediately as initial beta testing is yet to be conducted. The Verge reports that the feature will soon be available on the web and mobile devices.
By launching Horizon Worlds across different devices and platforms, users should have better accessibility in the future. Currently, Horizon Worlds is only available on Meta’s Quest VR headsets.
