This move is in partnership with Hopper, a Canadian based travel agency.

With an aim to become a "super app", Uber in the UK now allows Britons to book domestic and international flights. As per The Financial Times report cited in this article, Uber would make the flight booking tool more widely available across the region "in the coming weeks."

Currently, Britons can book tickets for trains, boats and buses on Uber. For flight bookings, users trying to book seats with major airlines will be able to pay directly within the Uber app.

According to Andrew Brem, General Manager, Uber UK, this is the "latest and most ambitious step" for Uber in its pursuit of becoming a "super app" - a one-stop shop for travel bookings. In addition to Uber expanding other varieties of travel booking, Brem adds that the company hopes to "builds its core business."
