Project Director (Based in Redwood City)

Position Summary YouGov is seeking a technically sophisticated person for its academic and public affairs group, based in Redwood City. We are looking for someone who combines knowledge of applied statistics with experience in social research. Work in a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment where technically sophisticated solutions to political, marketing, and financial problems are developed.

Responsibilities include management of internal and external research projects, as well as primary responsibility (from design to analysis to report writing) for execution of specific projects. Successful directors will provide a single point of accountability to deliver the project in accordance with the project commitments, manage and direct assigned project resources and make decisions regarding the project direction.

Qualifications

  • Ability to drive analytics projects from hypothesis generation through data-gathering to completion 
  • Proven project management experience (in either an academic or commercial setting) 
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Commitment and attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong computer skills with an ability to learn new software and techniques; experience using R or other statistical packages desirable. 
  • Knowledge of and experience with survey methodology and techniques. 

Education

Master’s degree in social science or marketing or an equivalent field preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in those fields with substantial professional and/or academic experience are welcomed.

Compensation

The position is compensated with a base salary that will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and Caltrain Go Pass. Our office is conveniently located walking distance from the Redwood City Caltrain station.

Omnibus Sales Associate - NYC

Overall Objective

  • To develop a portfolio of new clients and new business from existing clients
  • To manage the existing client base and key client relationships
  • To support the Head of Department in all new business and marketing initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and promotion
  • To agree targets, both financial and structural (i.e. organisation specific), with the Department Head and deliver on these targets
  • To sell and promote Omnibus products to new clients

  • To advise and direct on aspects of client/collaborator liaison where applicable and take the lead in solving potentially problematic situations

West Coast Sales Executive, BrandIndex

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying key contacts within potential brands and advertising agencies, gaining access to those executives to make a presentation of BrandIndex’s powerful brand health tools and closing those meetings with positive results.
  • Be involved in the further development and upselling product/service offerings
  • Identifying potential clients within other sectors or functions within businesses
  • Development of advertising, promotion, and collateral materials to support the business development efforts

The successful candidate for this position will have had a minimum of three years of experience in business development for related products and services.  Those related services may include advertising effectiveness measures, sales promotion effectiveness measures, brand tracking or brand health measures.

Skills required:

  • Experience with sales of services related to brand health at senior levels within companies
  • A demonstrable record of successful sales of those services

  • Depth of knowledge of brand health measures commonly in use
