Are you our new Manager Client Services on the BrandIndex/Profiles team?

YouGov’s ‘Products’ group seeks an energetic and analytic person to join its team as a Client Services Manager. The primary responsibilities include training / implementing our new clients on our reporting interfaces, producing PowerPoint analysis of recent brand activities and working collaboratively with YouGov colleagues to manage our current client roster subscribing to our data products. This position includes a variety of client facing opportunities as well as work with our sales, PR and YouGov management team.

The role requires excellent research, communication and people management skills. ‘Managers’ are expected to be highly organized and efficient in leading the day to day relationship of key accounts. This also includes growing the business through upselling opportunities and strengthening our relationships with a wide variety of clients. The role would include forging and maintaining connections with senior level contacts at some of the biggest companies in the world. We do not focus on simply providing data, but offering the insights to turn rigorous research into strategic action thus demonstrating the absolute necessity of YouGov data. This is a concept that candidates are expected to demonstrate.

We need a candidate who has the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Results driven focus and ability to see issues through to completion in a timely manner
  • Strong problem solving skills and Microsoft Office know-how
  • 3+ years experience in client service / marketing / market research

What will I be doing?

You will have the chance to own a designated territory; discovering, developing and managing accounts and handling complex negotiations and contracts, ideally from selling to consumer brands or media agencies. Your commercial awareness of subscription products and excellent communication skills will allow you to really promote YouGov’s data offerings, and your relentless energy, positive attitude and never-give-up approach will give you the platform to succeed.

What do I need to bring with me?

As you’d expect, you will already be an experienced sales person with exceptional hunter-style business development skills, along with a demonstrable track record of sales achievements (and plenty of them). You’ll ideally have experience of the subscription sales and have dealt with average deal values in excess of $100k. Naturally we also expect excellent written English language skills, and being extremely personable and client facing is crucial.

Are you our new Junior Research Associate?

This entry-level role is a great opportunity to work in the YouGov US Omnibus Team, developing as a market researcher specializing in fast-turnaround Omnibus and bespoke sample research projects on a whole host of topics. This role will involve research design, project management, direct client liaison, attention to detail and lots of teamwork. For the talented and fast-learning, the role will equip the researcher with the basic tools of market research and understanding of a range of research sectors.

What will I be doing?

Sample & Questionnaire design

  • Design questionnaires and basic sample frames with team guidance
  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of different data collection methods and the principles of good questionnaire design
  • Communicate with client to seek out the their objectives and then ensure the research design accounts for these

Survey implementation & Project Management

  • Work with teammates and other departments to design and run projects from start to finish
  • Manage several projects at different stages simultaneously and be the day-to-day point of contact for clients
  • Write basic proposals to summarize all relevant project parameters to potential clients
  • Cost basic projects unassisted, and to recognize when to seek advice from colleagues

Data analysis and presentation

  • Understand basic statistical analysis (percentages, means, medians and confidence intervals/statistical testing)
  • Understand the principles of data sampling and weighting
  • Interpret data, employing attention to detail and knowledge of statistics to recognize when findings are inaccurate or unclear
