Carried by their Super Bowl ad momentum, three of that event’s advertisers landed in YouGov BrandIndex’s ranking of the top 10 brands with the biggest perception gains for the month of February in the US.

One of those brands, Doritos, notched the biggest gain in February. The other two were Toyota (#3) and Chevrolet (#9).

As a matter of fact, in a twist on the Super Bowl rub-off effect, MetLife landed in the #4 spot – the insurance company is the name sponsor of the winning NY Giants’ hometown stadium.

With its new “Tap Into Nature” campaign, Tropicana touted its origins in new print ads and a spot shown nationally during the Grammy Awards: “Grown, picked and squeezed in Florida. Tropicana Pure Premium is 100% pure Florida orange juice.”

Arby’s continued its heavy promotion of “baskets” – discounts on fish sandwiches and fries with no drinks for $2.99 – and landed in the #6 spot.

Zappos.com received a lot of national press for founder Tony Hsieh’s major investment in turning recession-battered Las Vegas into a technology hub.
