7-Eleven: A hit with healthy consumers

Healthy consumers have given 7-Eleven’s perception their highest levels in at least four years in the US, coinciding with the early May introduction of its first diet Slurpee, the Fanta Sugar-Free Mango.

As a matter of fact, 7-Eleven is now ranked #9 in the top 10 best perceived grocery chains by people who consider themselves healthy, ahead of brands such as Winn Dixie, Wild Oats, A&P, and Stop and Shop.

Grocery chains, including 7-Eleven, were measured with YouGov BrandIndex’s Impression score, which asks respondents: “"Do you have a general positive feeling about the brand?" Results were filtered for adults 18+ who evaluate their health as good or excellent.

YouGov BrandIndex measurement scores range from 100 to -100 and are compiled by subtracting negative feedback from positive. A zero score means equal positive and negative feedback.

7-Eleven’s impression score jumped from 2 on May 3rd to hit 13 three weeks later. The brand has currently stabilized at a 9 score.

Winn Dixie is right behind 7-Eleven in the #10 spot with a 8 score, and the Meijer chain ranks just ahead of 7-Eleven with an 11 score placing it at #8.
