Joanna Morris is a data journalist with YouGov. Before joining the company, she honed her journalistic skills in regional newsrooms, spending almost a decade working for the Great Daily of the North, The Northern Echo.
Dedicated to finding the stories at the heart of data sets, she developed a love for data journalism while working with the BBC’s Shared Data Unit and went on to lead Newsquest’s Data Investigations Unit before joining the team at the Press Association’s pioneering RADAR project and returning to Newsquest to become the first investigations editor for newspaper titles across the North East and Cumbria.
She holds a masters degree from the University of Amsterdam where she studied English Literature.
