More Say Obama Policies Have Helped The Rich Than The Middle Class

One of the reasons for President Obama’s low ratings on the economy (in this week’s Economist/YouGov Poll (just 30% approve) is that most Americans don’t think his policies are helping them personally.

53% believe the Administration’s policies have hurt the middle class, not much improvement in the last month. In mid-August 56% said the Administration’s policies had hurt the middle class. More say the economic policies have helped the rich, major corporations and especially the banks than say they have helped those in the middle — the group that Americans tend to identify with personally.

The overall impact of the Administration on the economy in general and the Stock Market in particular is negative. Half say the Administration’s policies have hurt the economy — 40% say that about the impact on the Stock Market.
