On Thursday, the Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration’s effort to immediately end the Deferred Actions for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA allows undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as children to legally work and attend school.

Almost two-thirds (64%) of Americans support the Supreme Court’s decision to keep DACA in place, according to the results of a snap poll conducted hours after the ruling.

About three in 10 (29%) oppose the Supreme Court’s ruling.

Previous data from a separate poll conducted by YouGov and The Economist in November 2019 found that 55 percent of Americans supported the DACA program, while 28 percent were opposed to it. About half (49%) of Republicans surveyed were opposed to the program.
