Almost all Republicans think the former VP has been dishonest
Following allegations of wrongdoing published by the New York Post, the business activities of Hunter Biden in Ukraine and China - and the extent to which his father Joe Biden was involved - are top of the news agenda once again.
A new Washington Examiner/YouGov poll finds voters are split on whether the Democratic nominee has been honest about his son’s business dealings. Four in ten (41%) believe the former vice president has been upfront with the American people, while a similar number (45%) think he has been hiding some of what he knows.
The results split predictably along party lines. The overwhelming majority of Republicans (92%) believe Joe Biden has been dishonest, with only 5% thinking he has given a full account of what he knows.
Three quarters (75%) of Democrats think their candidate has been honest, with just 6% thinking the opposite.
Independents tend to think Biden has been dishonest, by 46% to 34%.
