BP Top Buzz Improver

BrandIndex announces the biggest Buzz improvers for February 2011, and the winner didn't spend a dime during the recent Super Bowl advertising extravaganza.

Beleaguered oil company BP is the biggest brand gainer in the month of February. Its buzz score with adults 18+ leaped 11.6 points from -27.2 to -15.7 almost twice the score of the next brand on the chart, Snickers (a Super Bowl advertiser). BP's score is still in negative territory (more negative sentiment than positive), but this could represent a major comeback for 2010's most troubled brand.

All brands were measured using their Buzz score, which asks respondents: "If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, was it positive or negative?"

February's other top buzz improvers are: Fox Business Network, Denny's, American Airlines, TurboTax, Save A Lot, Disney Channel, Jared, and Dodge.
