Some people are proud of their city — proud enough to recommend that friends and family get up and move there. Indeed, that's true for the majority of residents living in America’s 20 largest metro areas, according to a poll conducted by YouGov Omnibus.

The urban dwellers most likely to recommend living in their city to a friend or family member reside in Tampa-St. Petersburg and Minneapolis-St. Paul (80%). Following these top two metro areas come Dallas-Fort Worth (78%), Houston (76%), and Miami-Fort Lauderdale (75%).

The residents least likely to recommend that friends and family members come live in their city belong to Washington D.C. (64%), Chicago (65%), and New York (66%).
