Google is expanding its Local campaigns inventory as it ramps up efforts to build advertising capabilities for brick-and-mortar and hybrid retailers across its channels. The new features will allow measurements for store visits and store purchases along with fully-automated Local campaigns.

The new update, which will roll out over the coming weeks, will enable local campaign advertisers to be visible on Google map searches. Users will be able to tap the pin to see the full promoted listing and add it as a stop.

Local campaign advertisers will also be able to upload a local product feed and select products to be featured in ads across the Google Display network. The Buy Online Pick Up In-store (BOPIS) feature will also be updated to add new options like “Pick up today” or “Pick up later”.
