Mobile-only bank Monzo’s customers are the strongest brand advocates amongst Britons

A YouGov BrandIndex analysis looked at which brands were more likely to be recommended by their consumers.

The study found that Monzo was the most advocated brand in the UK with a score of 84.8. TransferWise was the second most recommended brand by Britons with a score of 76.8, while smartphone brand OnePlus landed at the third place at 74.8.

Although was the most advocated brand in 2017, second in 2018, this year it fell to fourth place. Apart from fintech and finance, vacuum-cleaning brands Shark and Miele were the eighth and ninth most advocated brands in the UK.

The survey which looked at past and present consumers of 1,500 organisations, found that UK consumers were more likely to recommend fintech companies. It was mainly because they offer simplicity and clarity in an industry where consumers are frustrated by traditional institutions.
