Magazine industry news site, Folio, surveyed CEOs across eight media and news organisations.
Folio’s report revealed that 43% of respondents anticipate that their company’s revenues will increase by single digits in 2020. However, 26% of those polled are expecting almost no change. Another 26% expect revenue to grow by over 10% in the year.
The report found 58% of media executives believing this growth to primarily come from digital advertising. For 43% of participants, the growth factors could be events, conferences and trade shows. 38% of those surveyed are expecting growth to come from marketing services for advertisers.
The research also saw 26% of respondents stating that bringing aboard new talent would be their most significant source of investment in 2020. At 18%, expenditures on technology would follow.
