This article quotes data from Pinterest’s Q3 2020 performance update.
The social platform has added 26 million monthly active users (MAU) in Q3 2020 bringing the total active monthly user count to 442 million. This translates to a 37% YoY global growth in MAUs, a 2% decline as compared to Q2 2020.
This growth has been driven largely by users below 25 years old. The quarter also saw revenue grow by 58% YoY globally, bringing it to $443 million. To some extent, advertisers participating in the social media boycott contributed to the revenue growth for Pinterest in the period.
Globally, the average revenue per user (ARPU) stands at $1.03 in Q3 2020, up from $0.70 in the previous quarter. For US in particular, the current ARPU is $3.85 for Q3 2020, up from $2.50 in Q2 2020.
