The image-sharing platform has doubled the number of maximum participants allowed in its Room feature.

Facebook-owned image sharing app Instagram has launched Live Rooms. This Zoom-like messenger Room now allows a maximum of four participants, which was earlier two. Instagram users can now use the Live Rooms feature to create content with other users, host question-and-answer sessions and start talk shows.

Content creators can also use Instagram’s latest feature to monetise their content. However, Live Rooms will not grant access to blocked individuals or guests who have lost their access to Instagram Live upon violating community guidelines.

The Shade Room founder Angelica Nwandu says, “We’re excited to use Live Rooms to expand our reporting capabilities, to engage with our followers and to continue growing our platform.” Further, Instagram said it could add more tools, like moderator controls and audio features, shortly.
