Instagram’s Remix feature for Reels is now available on iOS and Android devices.
Instagram has now officially launched the new Remix feature for Reels. It was recently spotted being tested. The new feature will allow creators to take eligible Reels clips to create new versions of them and add their own outlook to the original clip.
Similar to TikTok’s “Duets”, creators can leverage Remix to interact with other Reels videos and create trending content. To allow remixing of older clips, creators must tap on the three-dot menu and select the “Enabling Remixing” option.
Creators can also turn off the Remix option through “Settings”, to control their clip remixes. However, all publicly posted clips will have the Remix option switched on by default. Recently, Instagram confirmed to Business Insider that it is offering TikTok stars new contracts to produce exclusive content on its app.
