Snapchat has made a point of presenting itself as a more brand-safe and inclusive social media site.

In the 2021 Digital NewFronts presentation, Snap unveiled a new creator marketplace. The new feature will enable brands to interact with Snap creators for marketing campaigns and sponsorships. Businesses looking to collaborate with augmented reality lens-makers can access the marketplace later this month.

However, other creators will have to wait till early 2022 to access the marketplace. The company also revealed plans for new shows on its Discover channel, including celebrity-driven shows and programming focused on diversity and social justice.

The celebrity-focused shows will include series with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and TikTok stars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio. Heavy content such as "Everything's Fine" and "Coming Out" has also been announced. Peter Naylor, VP of sales at Snapchat, said the company won’t profit from transactions on the platform.
