77% marketers use Facebook to retarget

A SharpSpring Ads and Ascend2 report surveyed 176 marketers across B2C, B2B, B2C-B2B hybrid roles and agencies.

As per the report, Facebook and Instagram advertising are a part of the retargeting strategy of 77% of respondents. Google advertising is the part of the retargeting strategy of 69% of marketers.

This is followed by email for 55% respondents, 44% for Twitter advertising, 24% for SEO and 9% for ABM. For B2B marketers, brand awareness (58%) was the top retargeting goal, followed by driving sales (44%).

Whereas B2C marketers, at 66%, are focussed on customer retention as a top retargeting goal. ROI (54%), ROAS (49%) and CPA (36%) were the KPIs marketers used most to measure the effectiveness of their retargeting efforts.
