Users can connect existing shops with personal profiles along with their business or creator accounts.
Instagram has unveiled additional monetisation options during its Creator Week showcase event, including a new affiliate marketing program and new additions to its Stars creator donation process. The affiliate program will help creators discover new products and share them with their followers to earn money from consequent purchases.
The program will begin its “native affiliate tool” testing in the coming months. However, only a small group of US-based creators and businesses are involved in the testing process. New partners will be added soon into the region, as per Instagram.
Also, the Stars creator donation system will be incorporated with new incentive features to help Instagram live-stream broadcasters earn revenue. Creators will be alerted when they are eligible for extra pay-outs if they meet milestones, like going Live with another account.
