92% people to retain new shopping habits

91% of consumers want brands to take steps to make them feel comfortable about their data being used, as per Facebook’s report.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, 81% of consumers reported changing a shopping habit, and 92% intend to keep the new habit in the long run. Also, 86% of consumers want more transparency on how their personal information is used, as they seek more control over data usage.

Further, 69% of global consumers feel personally connected towards brands that provide personalised content or offers. 60% of consumers would like to use a personalised shopping tab to find tailored content. Moreover, 45% of people shopped more through smartphone amid lockdowns.

Celebrities and creators are product idea-sources for 51% consumers and 47% respondents would purchase products directly from live videos. Everyday conversations between people and businesses surged by more than 40% on Messenger and Instagram.
