89% of millennials wish to interact with a business on chat, according to Clickatell’s survey of 1,000 US millennials.
Chat apps are the preferred method of communication for millennials, with 88% of the cohort currently using them to contact businesses and 82% wanting to purchase through them. Millennials (71%) use chat apps like Facebook Messenger, Apple iMessage, WhatsApp, and more daily.
48% use chat to save time and get quick responses and 41% utilise them to keep all their conversations in one place, and more. Moreover, 50% of millennials use chat to engage with businesses, and 38% use it to make payments.
Further, 54% of millennials have received a message about an order, pickup, delivery, or a package arrival through chat. Pieter de Villiers, CEO and co-founder, Clickatell, states, businesses will gain a competitive edge by connecting with millennials on chat apps.
