Sitecore’s recent survey of US consumers and marketers revealed that 91% of marketers plan to enhance VR/AI offerings by the end of 2021.
With brands still recovering from COVID-19, 49% of marketers believe that the 2021 holiday season is their chance to prove the value of their store. However, only 21% feel prepared for it. This year, marketers with a brick-and-mortar stores (60%) are shifting focus to experiential destinations.
Marketers (65%) believe digital native ecommerce brands will be successful this holiday season. 51% of marketers plan to increase the value of discounts and incentives in exchange for consumer data.
Also, 60% are planning for Black Friday campaigns, and no longer is Cyber Monday “a thing” for 78% of businesses. Consumers (34%) plan to shop for holidays by Labour Day. 95% of marketers are concerned about how changing health conditions and laws would affect holiday sales.
