The South Korean electronics giant has announced it will finally remove ads from its default apps later this year.
Samsung has announced to remove advertisements from its default applications like Samsung Weather, Samsung Pay and Samsung Theme later this year. Samsung phones, including flagship smartphones like Galaxy S21 Ultra, show annoying ads on their stock apps.
According to The Verge, though users can disable the adverts on stock apps and switch to non-Samsung apps, it is not desirable after purchasing a flagship phone. Because of these ads, even Samsung’s clean One UI software started to “feel messy” over the past year.
The electronics device manufacturer has not disclosed a date for the ad removal update. But, South Korean news agency Yonhap previously reported that the tech giant would implement the changes via a forthcoming One UI software update.
